Q: Is there a javascript function that I can call that will return the ID or the Text value of the currently checked tab?
A: Unfortunately there is no such a function now.
There are such variables.
dtabs_tabs[menuN].b1 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedItem
dtabs_tabs[menuN].JT0 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedSmItem
But they contain the index of the selected menu item, not the ID.Q: I cannot see the arrow.gif's in my rollover drop down menu.

Do I need to put the arrow's somewhere else?
A: You should check the following parameter:
var pathPrefix_img="data-samples/images/";
Please check that you have the correct path to your aroows relative to the folder withindex.html file.
For example, you have:
menudir/
menu.js
dmenu.js
arrow_main3.gif
...
index.html
In menu.js file you should write:
var pathPrefix_img="menudir/";
var arrowImageMain=["arrow_main3.gif","arrow_main3.gif"];
var arrowImageSub=["arrow_sub5.gif","arrow_sub4.gif"];
or
var pathPrefix_img="";
var arrowImageMain=["menudir/arrow_main3.gif","menudir/arrow_main3.gif"];

JavaScript Tree Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.
Try to do the following things:
- delete var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

<script type="text/javascript"> var dmWorkPath = "menudir/";</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/dmenu.js"></script>

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)
Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.
But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem. You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.Q: I have installed all .js files in a subfolder under my html folder. \html\menudir\ all js files are here
