Q: I am struggling with my menu on my site the submenu is under the main text area. How do I make the submenu come to the front.


A: Check your z-index for <DIV id=navigation>.
Try to write it, for example, so:

<DIV id=navigationstyle="Z-INDEX: 10; LEFT: 0px; WIDTH: 170px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 5px; HEIGHT: 600px">

Try that.

Q: For the attributes that can have top, left, right, bottom, i.e. border, padding, is there any way to specify just one of them in the javascript context menu? i.e. border-left: 2px. I tried 2px 0 0 0 but that doesn't seem to work.

A: You can set different border width , forexample:

  var itemBorderWidth="1 0 2 5";
  var itemBorderWidth="top right bottom left";

Q: What I meant was that there is an API function dm_ext_changeItem that allows you to specify 8 dropdown menu parameters in an array. What if I only want to change one of them like the link for example? What do I specify in my function call to leave the other 7 parameters unchanged? Do I specify the existing values? Or, can I just put in a comma with no parameter? That would be a lot easier. Thank you.

A: You should specify only dropdown menu parameters you want to change.

You should just put a commas with no parameters, for example:

dm_ext_changeItem(0, 0, 1, ["JavaScript Tree Menu Info", "", "", "", "JavaScript Tree Menu Hint",,"1"]);

Q: I have created a CSS menu that appears in the <noscript> section, but am having a problem getting it to behave the same as the java menu. I want to show all the items as asingle line at each level, aligned to the left of the frame. I cannot find a way ofsetting left align in the style sheet or in the deluxe tuner for the css dhtml menu.

A: We've added align parameters in the new version 3.6:
  var subMenuAlign="pleft";

You should set this parameter and specify width for submenu. You can use different smwidthfor each submenu using Individual Submenu styles.
