Q: I got your non-profit license a couple of days ago and I’m putting all the pieces together. I appreciate the license. I am having a problem with css styles. I have my site set up with css but can’t figure out how to get deluxe menu to see the css. I have read through the help and examples. I feel so dense. When I set the parameter to 1 what else do I need to see the styles?
A: We have several examples of the menus using css.
You should set var cssStyle=1; parameter and then assign your stylesto the items.
var cssSubmenu is a CSS class name for all submenus. You can set, forexample, background color, background image, borders for all submenus.
var cssItem is CSS class names for all items (normal state, mouseoverstate) in the top menu and submenus.
var cssItemText is CSS class names for text of all items (normalstate, mouseover state) in the top menu and submenus.
It's possible to appoint individual CSS styles for separate elements of the menu using individual item styles and individual submenu styles.
Q: I'm interested in using Deluxe menu for our website. It appearseverything is exactly what I want, but I do have one question.
Can I pass a selection from cascading navigation bar to a form?
A: JavaScript Tree Menus doesn't have such a feature now.
But you are able to paste any html code within items.

You should write your own code within menuItem.Q: http://deluxe-tabs.com/file/templates/deluxe-tabs-style-5.html I like the transitional fade of onclick tab data between tabs of this menu, but I don't see anything in Transitional Effect variables to manipulate this.
A: You can set transitional effects in the "Transitional Effects"section in Deluxe Tuner.

Notice that Transitional Effects are supported by IE5.5+ only.Q: How does one go about changing the parameter or the JavaScript so that a vertical menu selection stays 'on'? In other words, the vertical menu remains selected, perhaps in a background color that shows the user this menu choice is selected and the user is in the selected menu area.
A: To save your navigation path you should set the following parameter:
var saveNavigationPath = 1;
The menu keeps items highlighted during menu navigation.
0 - disabled, 1 - enabled (default).
You can highlight menu items by default in two ways:
1) Set the pressed item on each page idividually using the following parameter:
var pressedItem = -2;
The toggle mode. Sets an index of an item that will be highlighted by default.
-2 - the toggle mode is disabled;
-1 - the toggle mode is enabled, but no items highlighted by default;
0,1,2,3,... - index of highlighted item in a top-level menu.
- delete var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, for example:
