Javascript Tree Menu. Expandable Menu.

  • You can set default expanded/collapsed items and submenus.
  • After clicking on menu item selected item becomes highlighted.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Try to use the latest version of Deluxe Tabs v3.2.9.

Try to delete height: 0%; parameter from the styles:

So you'll have:

Q: Is there a way to center floatable menus horizontally on a page?
I used to use absolutePos=0, and all of my menus were centered ok, but when I tried floatable=1 I found that I had to change toabsolutePos=1 to get the menu to float, and this messed up my centering. Since I have multiple menus of different widths, I'd rather not have to hard-code the menu width, but please let me know if there's a better way.


A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.


Q: I have just bought the software and created a first menu.

As you can see the sub-menus appear away for the menu/navigation bar.

This doesnТt happen when I put the code into an .html file without any divs.

Can you suggest what the problem might be here?


A: The problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:absolute"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add <DIV id=nav_bar_main>

to the

style="position:absolute;"

So, you'll have:

<DIV id=nav_bar_main style="position:absolute;">

Check that.
