Some of items can be disabled by default.
To disable the item set item's target to "_".
For example:

On this example items "Sample 6", "New Sample 2", and "New Sample 5" are disabled.

Q: I have a question, why sample 2 item in my horizontal dropdown menu is disable?


A: To disable items you should set item target parameter as "_".

For example:
 ["|Sample 2 is Disabled","testlink.html", "default.files/icon6.gif", "default.files/icon6o.gif", "", "_", "", "", "", ],


Q: I’m trying to setup a simple DHTML MENU (TREE MENU). It works just fine. I just have an issue that I can’t solve.

The parameter “  var tmenuHeight = "0"; Your documentation says the following

Height of the menu in (px, % or other units).
If the value 0 - the menu sets its height automatically.
If the value is small - scrollbars appear.

In IE it looks fine but I cannot see the menu in Firefox. When I set the parameter to for example 100 then it shows up both in IE and Firefox. But I cannot set a value in pixels. I don’t know how big the menu is because it’s dynamically built. According to your doc I can specify the value in percentage but this doesn’t work. When I set the value to “100%” it doesn’t show up in Firefox again.  

How can I solve this issue?

A: Try to set this parameter in the following way:

  var tmenuHeight = "auto";



Q: I’m getting the error “dmObjectsCheck is undefined”. I have attached the HTML output of the page. Let me know what’s missing.

A: Please, check that you have dmenu_add.js file in the same folder withdmenu.js.

Q: Is it possible to have menu items act like regular hyperlinks?
For instance in Firefox I like to "middle click" hyperlinks to open them in a new tab, or in IE right click and open in new window.
However with Deluxe-Menu this does not seem to work.


A: If you want to open your links in the new window you should set the item target parameter to "_blank", for example:

  var menuItems = [

["Home","testlink.html", , , , "_blank", , , , ],
...

You can include also any html code in the Item Text.

For example:

["<a href='http://deluxe-menu.com/'>Home</a>","", , , , , , , , ],
