Q: Once more I have a small question about JavaScript Tree Menu.
I have rewritten my homepage (still off-line) to use stylesheets instead of frames. But for some reason the drop down menu templates won't appear anymore.
Does DM need frames or can it also work without frames? I would suppose that it can also work on a page with no frames. But for some reason I can't seem to get it to work.


A: If you don't use frames there is no need to write your init functionin the following way:

dm_initFrame("lower", 0, 1, 1);

That is way you cannot see your menu.
Please, write:

dm_init();

Q: I have managed to insert a separator in a menu and set the image path but the separator image does not show.

Is there anything else I need to do?

You should set a separator in the menuItems, for example:

Q: That worked for the rollover drop down menu but I lost my drop shadow on the main menu. The sub-menus still have it. The preview has the drop shadow but when I view it in IE it is not there.

A: You should check the following parameters:

  var shadowLen=3;
  var shadowColor="#B1B1B1";
  var shadowTop=1;

Q: For the attributes that can have top, left, right, bottom, i.e. border, padding, is there any way to specify just one of them in the javascript context menu? i.e. border-left: 2px. I tried 2px 0 0 0 but that doesn't seem to work.

A: You can set different border width , forexample:
