Q: I am evaluating 'Javascript/DHTML Tree' and have the following question: Is it possible, and how can I hide a dhtml pop menu branch, that only shows up if user logs in with a certain password. The intent is to only make some menu branches visible to and accessible to 'superuser'.
A: Put the special script on each page of site that will open appropriate section.

I get the message "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer" and then I have to click this message/bar in order to "Allow blocked content". After I do that the javascript menu script appears as it should, but of course I don't want visitors to go through that. FYI, I do not have the same problem with the dynamic menus on your website or in other websites, which appear normally right from the start.
A: You should adjust your browser settings.
Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Options/
and set
"Allow active content from files to run on My Computer".
There is no way to enable these preferences automatically, in othercase there are no reasons to create security preferences.
Q: One more query, can we remove the following line from all the pages,

<script type="text/javascript"> var dmWorkPath = "/";</script>
As the script <noscript> tags are used in body section of webpage and when we use this in Head tag, it is creating a problem for us. Will removing this line would cause some problem in working of menu, as now a days every browser in the world supports JavaScripts.
A: You cannot delete the following line:
<script type="text/javascript"> var dmWorkPath = "/";</script>
Your menu won't work without this line.
You can try to move the following code in the <body> tag. Try that.

Q: I am really interested in this product but I am having difficulty adding content to the java menu bar tabs. I checked the FAQ section and followed the directions, but when I test it nothing happens and I get an error on page at the bottom.
A: See, for each item you should assign the ID property of the contentDIV (see data file with your menu parameters). You should set var tabMode=0;
