Q: I have looked through the FAQS on your site, but can’t find a clear answer to this questions:
Can a menu submenu dhtml be triggered to an open state upon onload?
I can get the top level menu over state to show, but the drop downs won’t open.
A: Unfortunately it is not possible to highlight the pressed menu submenu dhtml itemin JavaScript Tree Menu now. You can highlight the top items only.
Q: I got your non-profit license a couple of days ago and I’m putting all the pieces together. I appreciate the license. I am having a problem with css styles. I have my site set up with css but can’t figure out how to get deluxe menu to see the css. I have read through the help and examples. I feel so dense. When I set the parameter to 1 what else do I need to see the styles?
A: We have several examples of the menus using css.
You should set var cssStyle=1; parameter and then assign your stylesto the items.
var cssSubmenu is a CSS class name for all submenus. You can set, forexample, background color, background image, borders for all submenus.
var cssItem is CSS class names for all items (normal state, mouseoverstate) in the top menu and submenus.
var cssItemText is CSS class names for text of all items (normalstate, mouseover state) in the top menu and submenus.
It's possible to appoint individual CSS styles for separate elements of the menu using individual item styles and individual submenu styles.
Q: I have a JavaScript Tree Menu Multiple Website License and have been using it in several projects where it is running without problems. But now in my new project the sub menu won't drop down in the content frame, but will appear in the same frame as the main menu. What's wrong?
A: It seems that you open the submenu in the wrong frame.
Set ID for the first frameset:
<FRAMESET id=frmSet rows=220,*>
<FRAME id=frame1 src="JavaScript Tree Menu Samples_files/cross-frame-horizontal-1.htm"> //menu frame
<FRAME id=frame2 name=frame2 src="JavaScript Tree Menu Samples_files/testlink.htm"> //content frame

Then you should open your data file in any text editor and change
dm_init(); to dm_initFrame("frmSet", 0, 1, 0);

Q: Thank you for your reply. I have run the example sent by you. Your dhtml menu example has horizontal menus and it hides all the menus.
But I am using xp vertical menu. In that I have Home,Sales,Customer Support,Reports,Access Control menus.
For Admin login I need all the menus including submenus.
But for employee login i need Home , Sales, Customer Support menus and i need only few sub menus only.
Please help me with this issue.

function dm_ext_changeItemVisibility (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, visibility)
