Q: Actually, we figured out how to adjust the alignment of the text. What we would like to do is set a specific width for each item on the top level of the menu. Right now the width of the menu is based on the length of the item in that hotspot. We would like the width of each of those options to be the same.


A: You should use individual item styles. For example:

Q: Hello, I am trying to figure out how to use the Dynamic functionality in the java menu codes. I believe I want to use something like the dm_ext_changeItemVisibility function, and I want it to be dependent on HTML wrapped around the menu item.

Below is functionally how I want it to work:

Show menu item 1
Show menu item 2

Show menu item 3

Show menu item 4

Is there an example you can share that does something like this? I searched the site and could not find an answer.

Disable "Product Info/Installation" item.
and
Hide / show "Samples" item.

You can call these function via javascript depending on your conditions.

Q: This is a great product and I hope to use it for the project I am currently working on. I have played around with using simple javascript menu but have been unable to figure out how to make sub menu items live on multiple rows and columns. Could you point me in the right direction? I know with the individual styles I could make the category titles bold and put sub categories right underneath without actually making them sub categories.

Q: I’m currently testing your product and using the tabs.  My question is that not all my javascript html tabs point to the same target, I tried doing your suggestion on your FAQ but when I do that the tabs do not even display, here is my code

A: See, you can use links if you have
  var tabMode=1;
only.

If you have
  var tabMode=0;

You should use the ID of the DIV.

Unfortunately, you cannot set target parameter for each item.
bmenuItems has the following structure:

  var bmenuItems = [
["text", "divID or link or javascript function", "icon1", "icon2", "icon3", "tip", "styleN"],
];

But you can try to open your pages using different targets in thefollowing way

["tab text", "javascript: window.open('test.html', 'frameName')", ...],
["tab text", "javascript: window.open('test.html', '_self')", ...],
["tab text", "javascript: window.open('test.html', '_blank')", ...],

Where frameName - the name of the frame where to open the page test.html.

Using this method you can create Deluxe Tabs in  var tabMode=0; and   var tabMode=1;
